Facilities
The AWECC office is conveniently located within Gateway Health in the centre of Wodonga. As a multicultural resource centre, our staff and volunteers can assist community members with information and referals to other services. AWECC also has computer, copier and printing facilities available for use by community members from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Access to interpreters is also available.
Albury-Wodonga Ethnic Communities Council (AWECC) is the peak multicultural organisation for the Albury-Wodonga. Established in 2014, AWECC’s aim is to make multiculturalism work in the region by building the capacity of local ethnic communities to develop, implement and sustain their own solutions to problems and enhance the benefits of multiculturalism through advocacy and collaboration with the wider community. AWECC is member-driven and represents a diverse range of migrant and refugee community groups and organisations. As a Not-for-profit, charity organisation, AWECC is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). ABN 50 192 038 354.
